Honey is in fact very good for you! most nutritionist tell you to incorporate it to your diet almost every day if you can, because it increases antioxidants in the body that protect your cells , it’s very good for digestion and it has many vitamins such as B1, B2, C, B6, B5, and B3 and lots of minerals including calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphate, potassium, sodium chlorine, and sulfur. It also contains copper, iodine, zinc, and several kinds of hormones which are very good for you! it’s one of nature’s “superfoods” . It’s very good for colds too.It also has a “slimming” effect on you when using it instead of sugar because the body will reserve it in a lot less quantities than sugar and also, because it’s sweeter, you normally wont use that much to make something sweet. I really recommend you to incorporate it in your diet it’s very good for you.I couldn’t find the recommended daily dose of honey but i guess you can take as much as you feel you need.(but not too much though, because each tablespoon has about 65 calories)

I am afraid it has little or nothing to offer in terms of health benefit.

Local Honey is good for your allergies. It has to be local which you can get from a Farmer’s market usually. The reason being is because we have allergies due to local flowers and plants. The bees make the honey from the pollen that the bees collected locally and if you ingest that into your system it helps your body build an immunity to what is local. Every spring I stock up on my local honey and drink it with tea everyday. If it’s really bad than I have about two to three cups a day. I put about 2-3 teaspoons of honey. Medicinally I have been told to take about 2-3 teaspoons of honey by mouth a day. I have heard there are other health benefits, but I’m not really sure what else honey is good for.
Oh and key word is local honey, in case you didn’t catch that. Store bought honey is useless.
